“Matrix” (a government connected federated messaging protocol, similar to discord in many ways)… is grappling with an overwhelming problem, where a substantial portion of its userbase, utilizes the service purely to disperse vile content, and circumvent online laws.
As the community struggles to make that all change, and documents the widespread problem, I wanted to discuss what seems to be a great piece of software on paper, but has become an extremely damaging application in practice.
